Oligomerization of AKAP12 (and either C-terminal or N-terminal fragments) expressed and purified from E. coli. His-tagged AKAP12 or His-tagged AKAP12 fragments were expressed in E. coli. The AKAP12 (or fragments) were purified and then resolved on SDS-PAGE in the absence (A) or presence of 8 M urea (B). The gels were fixed and stained for protein with Coomassie Brilliant Blue (A, B) or the resolved proteins transferred to PVDF membrane and subjected to immunoblotting (C, D). The "◀" indicates the observed M r on the gels and the "Δ" indicates the predicted M r , calculated from the primary sequence.
